Context The target demographic of the audience such as age, gender, ethnicity, location, economic status. The target psychographic of the audience such as personality, values, attitudes, interests and lifestyle. The intended values, attitudes and beliefs of a brand. Analysis of different adverts Advert 1 - Dairy milk gorilla  This advert is very humorous since it’s unusual that a gorilla can play the drums. I think it’s aimed at a younger audience since children tend to believe animals that have human like characteristics are real. Also children are more likely to see the funny side to this advert although many adults would too. The values, attitudes and beliefs that Cadbury are trying to display in this advert is the joy that their chocolate brings to people, even gorillas.  Advert 2 - Sainsbury’s Christmas ad 2014 This advert is set in World War One around Christmas time, both the English and German army are singing silent night on Christmas Eve which shows the audience this...

Cool shot experiment - the cutaway shot

Our first editing practice task was to look at cutaways and how the same reaction can be used in response to different things. In my cutaway a women walk in looking confused, it then cuts to a pair of shoes and then back again to the women who now looks relieved. This expression is repeated two more times with two other things that the camera cuts too.
