Introduction to my blog

This is my media production blog where i will showcase the planning evidence for my AS production work. My brief for this year is to create 4 x 15 second commercials for a new horror and/or sci-fi TV channel. My aims for this course are to improve my editing skills and learn lots of new camera shots for my productions.

I think it’s aimed at a younger audience since children tend to believe animals that have human like characteristics are real. Also children are more likely to see the funny side to this advert although many adults would too. Cool shot experiment - the cutaway shot

Our first editing practice task was to look at cutaways and how the same reaction can be used in response to different things. In my cutaway a women walk in looking confused, it then cuts to a pair of shoes and then back again to the women who now looks relieved. This expression is repeated two more times with two other things that the camera cuts too.
